Science vs Evolution: Truth at the Crossroads
Contemporary evolutionary theory now extends far beyond its original biological domain. It now claims to be a universal explanatory system that is capable of explaining everything from cosmic origins to human values through chemical reactions and quantum fluctuations. This transformation has turned evolution from a biological model into a cosmological philosophy, a worldview that seeks to explain everything through unguided and purposeless processes. And more extravagant their claims gets, the more evident are its foundational flaws and its internal contradictions.
Atheistic Worldview and the Demise of Scientific Spirit
Historically, science was grounded in a very different premise. Early scientists believed that the universe was intelligible because it was created by a rational God. They held that “Because God is rational and good, human reasoning can trustfully discover the laws of nature… because it reflects the mind of its Creator”. These ideas inspired and propelled the great men of science like Newton, Pascal, Pasture, Mendal, Faraday, Copernicus etc who wrote and shared about this faith. They became fathers of Scientific revolution introducing systematic study of creation transforming alchemy into chemistry, astrology into astronomy, enchantments into genetics, undoing sacred geometric numerology and revolutionizing Physics by building a sanctified space for worshiping creator.
In contrast, the modern evolutionary mindset is destroying the spirit of enquiry by reducing human dignity to mere chemical reactions and replacing the search for truth with a spirit of illusion. Physics which once championed truth have fallen victim to speculative science replacing absolutes with relativity, empirical testing with mathematical imagination and thought experiments. When scientists speak of the ‘God Particle’, ‘String theory’ or ‘Infinite universes’, they are no longer operating within empirical science but are entering metaphysical speculation. These theories emerge not from data, but from the loss of the anchor from scientific consciousness. In doing so, such science lost the very freedom and objectivity that once defined it anddrifted into occult and pseudo-science.
Limiting Factors that Defy Evolutionary Explanations
Evolutionary cosmology assumes slow, uniform change over vast ages, yet empirical data contradicts its assumptions. A growing number of geological, physical, biological, informational, and anthropological factors challenge the idea that undirected processes can account for our reality. Below are some key scientific anomalies and contradictions that expose a deeper structural problem in evolutionary worldview.
Stratigraphic Dichotomy: Polystrata fossils are fossilized trees standing upright through multiple rock layers of geological column. But a tree cannot stand unrotten and upright for millions of years required for those layers to form. Rapid sedimentation, such as during flood events, offers a coherent alternative explanation. Similarly, Robert Gentry’s discovery of “Polonium Radio-halos” observed in Graniterequire rapid crystallization of granite and contradicts long-age geological model. Therefore, the assumptions for initial conditions remain questionable in long-age radiometric dating.
Limiting Factors for Earth’s Age: Many Natural systems are measurable and can be calibrated, and uninformative explanations don’t hold up to the billions of years model; (see below table)
| Feature | Measured Process | Age of Earth |
| Atmospheric C-14 | Production vs. Decay | < 50,000 years |
| Ocean Salinity | Sodium Influx | < 62 million years |
| Population | Growth Rates | ~ 4,500 – 6,000 years |
| Magnetic Field | Dipole Decay | < 20,000 years |
| Helium in Zircons | Diffusion Rate | ~ 6,000 years |
| Dead Stars | Supernova remnants count | ~ 7,000 years |
DNA and Origin of Information: Genetic codeis built of 4 amino acids; adenine (A), guanine (G), cytosine (C), and thymine (T) that form the basic letters of biological language. This sophisticated digital information system defies materialist explanation, as information by its very nature can never arises apart from intelligence. While chemistry can explain the physical bonds, it is powerless to account for complex syntax and purposeful grammar which creates a fundamental evolutionary paradox: A book doesn’t write itself.
Life’s Origin vs Entropy: Carbohydrates, nucleotides, amino acids and lipids form the fundamental building blocks of a cell which have not yet been assembled in any laboratory that matches prebiotic environment. Adding time worsens this problem because of decay. Also, in 1930’s a living cell was considered little more than protoplasm but now we know it as a self-sustaining microscopic city: where the DNA as blueprint guides ribosome assembly lines to build protein machinery, powered by ATP and coordinated through a vast cytoskeletal transport network and Golgi logistics system, while lysosome recycling centres and a selective membrane border maintain a state of perfect internal balance.
Anthropological Question: Evolution offers no adequate explanation for why humans clothe themselves. No survival mechanism accounts for modesty, shame, moral awareness, dignity; realities that lie beyond purely material explanation. By reducing humans to “mere chemical reactions” or “biological machinery,” evolutionary theory misses the intrinsic spiritual and moral dimensions of the person.
Not just these but Cambrian Explosion, Cosmic Inflation, Uruk Expansion, the soft tissue in dinosaur bones or Retrograde motion of Venus, the list goes on that contradict evolution. Evolutionary mindset is dampening the scientific temper. Galileo’s of today are persecuted by atheistic academia for searching truth (Nicolos Tesla, Immanuel Velikovsky, Robert Gentry etc).
Reasoning-Axiom Paradox: Though logic and reasoning are the foundation of science, yet reasoning itself presupposes axioms that cannot be justified without circularity. This result is a recursive dependence in which reason depends on what it cannot ground, revealing a fundamental philosophical boundary that exposes an inherent philosophical limit of science. The issue resembles a “chicken-and-egg” problem: the laws used to justify knowledge are themselves unaccounted for.
Pascal’s Wager addresses this boundary condition by redirecting the question of God from proof to rational consequence. Ideas do not arise in isolation: Survival-of-the-fittest when taken to its logical end, legitimizes cruelty by exploiting innocents which the worldly rulers crave, whereas Bible requires sacrificial restraint by authority. Therefore, biblical conception of God as holy and morally perfect elevates accountability beyond pragmatic survival, rooting ethics in a transcendent moral order.
In Part II: The Bible as a Blueprint, we examine the Bible’s role in shaping past breakthroughs and explore the framework it offers for building a comprehensive interdisciplinary model for research.
